Advocacy Graphics Gallery

 

This gallery is the beginning of a project. Goal of the project is to enhance the public awareness of relevant social and ecological problems and underline the need to tackle them now.
 

I started this project just as a natural development of my personal and professional interests. As a psychiatrist, my research field is the study of images and their links with human emotions (http://www.crpitalia.eu/borgo.html). As a medical doctor, expert in clinical toxicology, I got involved in environmental problems as related to human health and to the integrity of ecosystems (http://www.isde.it/chi-siamo/organigramma/).
 

We all can experience how images more than words can convey complex messages and their emotional background. They are more moving. So, I think that images can better serve than words for the purpose of advocacy. I hope that these images can speak by themselves to hearts and minds.
 

This is a cooperative and not a competitive project. I hope that similar-minded people would like to join me. I will be glad to share this advocacy action - as a support for important ethical, social and environmental causes - with other authors who have the same feelings and concerns for the world we live in. To this aim, I have envisaged a section in this website for "Guest authors". All of you who wish to contribute with your graphic works with the same purpose of advocacy are welcome. Just send me a message!
 

A last note. As graphic themes come from a wide range of sources and can be similar to those present in other works, some of you may found similarities with your own graphic works. In this case, please let me know if you want to be considered a "Reference" (and to let your name appear in the section References) or if you wish your work be hosted in the “Guest works” section of the Gallery.
